Public Rental Housing – an opportunity for owners and subtenants

The Public Rental Service is defined by the adopted amendment to the Housing Act and the Decree on the implementation of public rental service of Housing as a new form of state assistance in the provision of rental housing, in particular for young people, young families and other socially vulnerable or housing-deprived groups of the population.

As the only public rental service provider in the country, the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia acts as a liaison and service provider between the sub-tenant and the landlord throughout the entire rental housing management process. The public rental service has been a well-established housing measure abroad for decades and we believe that it will also help to fill the gap in the rental market in Slovenia.
