PUBLIC RENTAL HOUSING UNITS SPODNJE PRELOGE (Municipality of Slovenske Konjice)

In June 2020, Stanovanjsko podjetje Konjice company submitted an application to the Co-financing Programme for the Provision of Public Rental Housing Units 2016-2020. Under the Programme, the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia ensures the planned implementation of the basic objectives of co-financing the construction of new public rental housing and housing units in local communities.
In accordance with the decision of the NS SSRS, the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia co-financed the investment project Multi-apartment building Spodnje Preloge in the Municipality of Slovenske Konjice, thus becoming the owner of 5 public rental housing units with a total area of 299.66 m2 of living space. Together with the Stanovanjsko podjetje Konjice company, 11 new public rental housing units will be provided at non-profit rent in a new facility, which is expected to be available in spring 2023.
The final building permit was obtained on 9 February 2020, the final occupancy permit on 21 January 2023. The Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia has obtained EU co-financing for the purchase of 5 public rental housing units under the Resilience and Recovery Plan, Component 16: Housing policy, investment: Providing public rental housing units, amounting to EUR 196,713.18.
After more than a decade, new non-profit rental housing is being built again in the Municipality of Slovenske Konjice. The site is located outside the city, but in a wider area of the city that is partially degraded and will become urban with the completion of the building. The building is being developed with 11 public rental housing units with a living area ranging from 50 m2 to 74 m2. The building will be energy efficient, with an energy class of A1. The project follows the basic principles of climate change mitigation and ensures sustainable use.
