On 09 September 2022, the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, as an intermediary between the owner of the apartment and the subtenant, published a public call for applications for subrenting apartments through the public rental service. The application for subletting can be submitted from 19 September 2022. Subtenants will be selected on the basis of the date of submission of a complete application, placement on the list of beneficiaries and priority categories.
We currently have an apartment in Slovenj Gradec of 45.54 m2 with a non-profit rent of EUR 161.45, which we sublet through the public rental service. The other acquired and already rented residential units are located in Ljubljana, Nova Gorica, Litija, Maribor, Moravče and Črna na Koroškem, ranging in size from 36.60 m2 to 106.18 m2. Their rents range from EUR 114.03 to EUR 304.54.
Only natural persons who are citizens of the Republic of Slovenia with permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia may choose to sublet housing through the public rental service. The Fund decides on the eligibility of the applicant by means of an eligibility decision, which will be the basis for the applicant’s inclusion in the list of eligible persons. The list of beneficiaries is ranked according to the time of submission of a complete application. Subtenants will be selected on the basis of the list of beneficiaries, the date of submission of a complete application and the priority categories. Subtenants are offered the possibility of a favourable sublease for a fixed period of at least three years.
