Notice of closure of the Call

The Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, a public fund, announces that, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Call for the purchase of housing and land for the construction of housing 2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 9/2020 of 14 February 2020 and with the corrigendum published in the Official Gazette of the RS no. 10/2020 on 21 Fabruary 2020 (hereinafter: the Call), the Call closes on 31 December 2020. In view of the above, the SSRS is no longer accepting new applications for this Call.

Applications from applicants received up to and including 31 December 2020, which have already been decided in accordance with the provisions of the Call, are still pending the procedures for the final implementation of the project. The Call remains published on the SSRS website, for the insight of contractors still participating in the Call procedures, while the prescribed application form is being removed from the website.

At the same time, we also invite all eligible applicants to whom the Call was addressed to monitor the website of the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, as the adoption of the revised Call is foreseen in the Business Policy of the Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2021-2025, which is still in the process of adoption by the founder. Information on the adoption of the Strategy Paper and the Call will be published on www.ssrs.si.

Information on the implementation of the Call

The call was adopted on the basis of the guidelines of the Resolution on the National Housing Programme 2015 – 2025 (ReNSP15-25) and with the aim and objective of acquiring new public rental housing in the whole territory of the Republic of Slovenia, where the need for such housing is the greatest.

In accordance with the provisions of the Call for Proposals, in 2019 and 2020, the Supervisory Board of the SSRS approved the purchase of housing units and land for a total amount of EUR 35,159,599.53.

By 2020, 9 projects had been completed, resulting in the SSRS acquiring 101 public rental housing units in the municipalities of Slovenj Gradec, Lenart, Radenci, Mozirje, Gornja Radgona, Mežica, Sveta Ana and Brežice, as well as a plot of land in Koper, where the SSRS will develop its own project to build 90 public rental housing units. There are also 7 projects in the municipalities of Kočevje, Slovenska Bistrica, Črnomelj, two in Slovenj Gradec, Murska Sobota and Podčetrtek, where 214 public rental housing units and 27 serviced housing units will be built. The SSRS is also in the process of acquiring land for construction on sites in the municipalities of Izola and Lendava, where it is planned to build 30 and up to 100 public rental housing units respectively. Through the Call, the SSRS will acquire 342 new public housing units and three plots of land suitable for the development of its own projects.
